A short getaway from the busy city of KL - Ipoh is a good option.

In the hustle of Kuala Lumpur, sometimes a short getaway is all you need to recharge your senses. Recently, My husband and I "escaped" to Ipoh, a charming town known for its natural beauty, cultural richness, and delectable culinary offerings.

Our adventure began with a visit to Kin Loong Café, a hidden gem renowned for serving the best white coffee in town. In the middle of hills and forests, the café's serene was the perfect start to our Ipoh getaway. For breakfast we had Golden Rice+Baba Spicy Chicken Rice+ Fried potato and of course white coffee.

In the same area, we explore Tasik Cermin 2, also known as Mirror Lake. The Mirror Lake, with its intriguing history, was once formed due to a landslide. Over time, people discovered valuable resources like Cassiterite and crystals in the area. Today, it stands as a picturesque lake attracting visitors from far and wide. We opted for a cruise ride on the lake, costing only RM25 per person, and were treated to breathtaking views of nature's beauty. Guys, I know my photography skills don't deserve Ipoh -_-

Continuing our journey, we headed to Qing Xin Ling Leisure & Cultural Village, a unique destination showcasing the remnants of Malaysia's diverse cultural heritage. Set against the Ipoh landscape, surrounded by hills and forests, the village exuded a peaceful charm. Even a light drizzle enhanced the romantic atmosphere as we explored the traditional elements of Chinese, Malay, and Indian communities.

On the second day of our Ipoh retreat, we decided to visit Concubine Lane, a place steeped in historical significance. Once home to the concubines of wealthy miners post-World War II, it has transformed into a bustling market lane. While the viral street food wasn't exactly my cup of tea, the lane offered the shops and traditional kitchenware at affordable prices.

While exploring Concubine Lane, we discovered another Kin Loong Café nearby – the (Front River) branch. With a different classic décor, it's a good place for a restful break. We enjoyed their renowned white coffee paired with delicious toast and kaya – a traditional Malaysian coconut and egg jam.

Ipoh proved to be an ideal destination for a short getaway from the fast-paced life of Kuala Lumpur. From savoring the best white coffee at Kin Loong Café to cruising on Mirror Lake and exploring the cultural richness of Qing Xin Ling Village, every moment was a testament to the town's charm. If you're looking for a perfect blend of nature, culture, and culinary delights, Ipoh is undoubtedly a must-visit destination. #malaysiatourism
