"Delicious Love Story"

Hey there! I'm a proud Malaysian, and my husband happens to be Turkish. One of the coolest things about our relationship is what we like to call "meal exchange." It's like taking a tasty trip from the streets of Malaysia to the lively markets of Turkiye, and let me tell you, it's a delicious relationship! Meanwhile, my husband has now gotten used to sambal, hot and spicy food. I cannot start my day without Turkish breakfast!

Let's talk about Turkish breakfast -oh, it's a healthy feast! Every morning is like a celebration of taste, and it's hands down the best way to start the day. My Husband's Menemen is literally a breakfast winner. Used to live in Turkiye, I learned that my husband's Menemen is unbeatable :p Menemen is a popular traditional Turkish dish that includes eggs, tomato, green peppers, and spices such as ground black and red pepper cooked in olive oil (brought all the way from his hometown). We have it with the homemade bread, paired also with his hometown olives - it's truly lezzetli! What makes it extra special is how he nails the perfect balance of flavors. Then there's Mücver – zucchini/vege fritters that are pure happiness. Crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside, they're impossible to resist. It's the perfect combo of Malaysian and Turkish goodness.

Then there's Tea time. Tea time is serious business for Turkish, and our daily Turkish çay ritual is something special. Sipping it slowly, we share stories and connect over the rich flavors. And let's not forget Turkish coffee – bold, aromatic, and a must-have in our home. It's these little moments that make our love story so sweet.

We're like a recipe blending Malaysian and Turkish flavors. Through our "meal exchange," we're not just sharing food; we're sharing a piece of our culture.
