Frustrated with Management at M City Ampang

I feel frustrated sometimes when dealing with a giant company that seems to refuse residents’/clients concerns. They come across as so arrogant, and often, we don’t even know where to begin in addressing the issues. That’s why I’m writing here as a bit of a personal diary, hoping it helps to put things in perspective.

We actually really like our home at M City Ampang. The space itself is fantastic, and we’ve put effort into making it feel home. But the building’s management has been a constant source of stress. One of the worst experiences was when I got trapped in the elevator, only to find that the emergency system was poorly equipped to handle the situation. I eventually got out, but despite raising the issue, there was no apology or response from management. It was like our safety concerns didn’t matter to them at all.

On the other side, the management is quick to issue penalties for anything they deem a resident’s “mistake.” We recently received an RM200 fine for supposedly throwing trash in a common area - without any warning or explanation (evidence). And the app we’re expected to use for water bills is another headache. One month, the bill was too low; the next, it was way too high. When we asked for clarification, they simply told us to “refer to the app.” No evidence, no explanation, just pay up.

Living in a place like M City Ampang doesn’t come cheap, and with that cost, we expected good security, quality facilities, and a professional level of service. Unfortunately, what we’re experiencing feels more like endless control measures and very little care for the people actually living here. We’ve raised these concerns with our agent, hoping to discuss an early move if things don’t improve. For now, we’re giving it some thought and will provide notice if we decide to leave.

A home should be a 'syurga', not a source of daily frustration.
